[GradMinds Workshop] Embracing Changes: Managing Anxiety, Returning to “a Norm”

  • This event has passed.

September 23, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

About this event

As the pandemic continues and our lives move on, the uncertainty lingers. This can be scary and feel exhausting as our bodies are using a lot more of our internal resources day-to-day to manage the uncertainties. We end up feeling more stressed and more anxious than before trying to adapt to the changes that are happening in our environments. This workshop will provide a deeper understanding of why we’re more anxious during periods of uncertainty and change, provide tools we can use to cope with the anxiety, explore additional supports during these challenging times, and help you settle into the new “normal”.

Vivian Zhang

Clinical Therapist, Social Worker

Vivian graduated from the University of Toronto and thought she could take on the world. Little did she know, even with the prestige of the institution she graduated from, she couldn’t run away from her anxiety, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism. After a few years of soul searching (much to the disapproval of her Asian parents), she has been able to better cope with the anxiety that comes with achieving and wants to support others in their own journey to coping with their anxiety. Presently, she supports individuals who experience anxiety, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism as well as stress, work life balance, and coping with change/life transitions.
